The aim is to encourage environmentally friendly behaviours and to raise awareness on the importance of a healthy environment:

• Keep all Conference materials to a minimum.

• No plastic Badges will be provided at the Registration, but only recycled and eco-friendly badge holders.

• The programme will not be printed but will be available on the conference website and in the conference application.

• Avoid food waste during the Conference.

• Water dispensers will be available at the venue.

• Hotel for faculty and staff will be located conveniently within walking distance from the venue which is also easily reached by public transportation.

• The conference avoids using unnecessary decorations that may create excessive waste.

• Collaborate with local, sustainable caterers to minimize the carbon footprint of food served during the conference.

• Donate surplus food to local food redistribution organisations.

• Avoid using single use items such as plastic plates and cutlery and paper serviettes.

• Encourage attendees to offset their travel-related emissions.

• Consider including a mechanism for attendees from high-income countries to contribute to a carbon offset fund to offset the travel of attendees from low and middle-income countries.
